Meet Solange

Creativity has always been part of who I am.

Growing up, my mother was a seamstress, and I loved helping her with the finishing touches on the clothes she made. At school, I was fascinated by everything I could create with my hands. As a young girl, I even made pieces of art that I sold at church.

Over the years, creativity remained a constant part of my life. I decorated churches, celebrations and song festivals, and later worked in after-school care, where I taught arts and crafts to children. Creating was never simply a hobby to me — it was always part of who I was.

For many years, I dreamed of starting my own business. I often put my own ideas aside to help others bring their plans to life. In 2018, I finally decided it was time to follow my own dream, and Soli Art was born.

Through Soli Art, I want to create art that carries history, culture and memories forward. My work is about life — about bringing light, colour, rhythm and joy into our surroundings while preserving stories that should not be forgotten.

I want these stories to live on through my art, so that new generations can discover them, learn from them and carry them forward.

For me, art is not only something beautiful to look at. It is a way of keeping our history alive.
